Porcelain paper vessels and tealight holders
Porcelain slip is mixed with paper pulp and spread on to plaster bats to create wafer thin slabs. These slabs are then formed into vessels including tea light holders.
The tea light holders are very fragile and allow light from candles to play with the contrasts of texture of the layers of porcelain and the more translucent areas where the paper has burnt away in the kiln.
